Howard has been involved in leadership development for approximately 20 years. He spent 10 years at Unitec,
before shifting to Auckland University of Technology, where he currently works for some of the week. Outside of
this time he works as a leadership educator/developer/consultant.
He focuses on transformative leadership practices that focus on individuals, relational spaces, teams and
organisations. At the heart of this are collective forms of leadership, an area where he has researched and
published many times. He has facilitated leadership development workshops too many to count and counts this
space as a privilege as he also learns from those he works with. His experience spans working in New Zealand
and ASEAN nations.
